Consultant - Building Restoration

• Assist in the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and supporting project documents.
• Use hand calculations and structural modelling software to analyse existing systems and design reinforcement or repair solutions.
• Review contractor documentation, such as submittals and shop drawings, during the construction phase.
• Conduct site surveys, diagnostic testing, and construction monitoring to document conditions and gather field data.
• Participate in coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare written technical reports that present findings and outline recommended repair strategies.
• Carry out field visits during construction to ensure repair designs are implemented as intended.

• Background in analysing or rehabilitating existing structures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to undertake hands-on site work, including roof access, ladder use, and suspended platform inspections.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits beyond the local area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (accredited programme).
• Proficiency in technical writing and clear verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work well within a project team.
• Experience with structural software such as SAP2000 or ETABS.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is desirable.
• 3+ years of professional experience in building evaluation, design, or repair preferred.
