Providing support to the IERRT project team in the safe delivery of the contract through the implementation of the Dragados HSW Policy and IERRT HSW management plans and systems.

Assist the Head of HSW UK&I as required and support the business in the successful delivery of the annual HSW Strategy and Plan.
Assist in the production of HSMS site specific procedures/ arrangements and plans.
Compile and report monthly KPIs and maintain the project HSW Dashboard, including providing monthly KPI data for reporting to Dragados Madrid HO.
Support and carry out inspection and monitoring activities and effective use of the arising data.
Participate in developing and presenting inductions and training as required, and mentor other project staff members.
Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Ensure project compliance with statutory legislation, contractual HSW requirements and industry best practice.
Ensure that key HSW data including incident, monitoring, and audit findings are recorded in the appropriate management database and used to inform learning and drive forward improvement.
Assist with the capturing of lessons learned and the dissemination of the information through the creation of toolbox talks and HSW briefings.
Actively promote behaviours key to a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture.
Assist/lead in investigations into accidents and incidents and root causes, and support the implementation of corrective actions.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings
Good working knowledge of relevant safety legislation
CSCS Card
Experience with Civil 3D, GIS, Hydrographic software (e.g., HYPACK, CARIS) or equivalent software packages is an advantage
Teamwork mindset
Membership of an appropriate professional body, typically Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (or similar)
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and able to report at all levels
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience in a similar role within the construction industry
Visibly active both within the office and site environments.
Willingness to work outdoors and offshore, sometimes in challenging environments
Post holder may alternatively have HNC, HND, or fully recorded vocational training to an equivalent level with relevant senior technical engineering experience
Degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Hydrography, or related field
Experience in land surveying and/or hydrographic surveying (offshore experience beneficial)
Strong knowledge of GNSS/GPS, total stations, echo sounders, sonar, and associated data processing software
