Murphy Geospatial HR Philosophy
Due to continued business growth across Ireland and Europe, we are currently recruiting Geospatial Engineers to join our Geospatial Engineering Department on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Department, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Geospatial Engineer to lead key projects across Ireland and Europe, ensuring positive outcomes for clients and the business alike.
Murphy Geospatial captures, collates, verifies and governs geospatial data, enabling our clients to make informed decisions across the project lifecycle. Proven geospatial solutions through design, construction and inuse phases of projects across six key sectors; Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities, Property and Natural Environment.
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying.
- Experience working in infrastructure and construction.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Possess a full Irish or EU driving licence.
- Staking/Setting-out for different trades in construction.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide & European-wide as required by our clients.
- Understanding of BIM workflows and experience with digital collaboration tools (desired but not essential).
- An ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and achieve critical deadlines
- Have strong knowledge of current CAD technology.
- Understand scopes of work and project requirements.
- Experience with HD Laser Scanning technology and software (desired but not essential).
- Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering) and/or relevant experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and to develop new applications and projects, as well as working within an existing team
- The right to work in the EU.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with machine control (desired but not essential).
- Willingness to develop skills and knowledgebase.
- Enthusiastic and structured approach to planning with good problem-solving abilities
