The Senior Cost Manager will develop and maintain detailed cost plans, produce monthly cost reports and coordinate cost data from design teams, contractors and vendors. They will lead procurement strategies, manage change control, conduct cost risk analysis and ensure robust cost‑control systems such as Earned Value Management are in place. Integration of cost with schedule and scope, value engineering initiatives and market trend monitoring are also key duties, along with mentoring junior staff and adhering to internal Business Management Systems and SOX controls.
The firm is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to act as the day‑to‑day client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. The role is responsible for delivering value‑added cost management services that keep the project on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. It requires strong governance, commercial rigor and proactive stakeholder engagement, while embedding Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline and have 5 to 7+ years of cost management or project controls experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centres. Experience in construction consultancy, strong knowledge of MEP systems, budgeting, financial reporting, procurement and EVM, as well as RICS accreditation (or progression) are preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and analytical skills are essential.
