Plater

Description

Reporting to the Plating Supervisor, the Plater Operator plates rolls to meet customer specifications, assists in training new Plating Helpers according to work instructions, and ensures hazardous waste is contained in proper containers.

• Prepare rolls for chrome plating.
• Set plating controls and monitor tank temperature and solution levels.
• Inspect rolls for defects before and after plating.
• Test surface texture and chrome thickness on rolls.
• Conduct crane inspections.
• Maintain housekeeping of the work area.
• Follow instructions quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred training in crane safety, hazardous communication, and ISO quality systems. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and possess good vision.
