We are seeking a Highways Regional Director for Scotland and the North of England. Reporting to the Highways Scotland and England North District Lead and working with regional directors and the Infrastructure Team Lead, the role will drive the pipeline of major projects and expand the delivery portfolio.
The director will identify and pursue growth opportunities, position AECOM as a leading consultant, and prepare client‑centric pursuit plans. They will also set up newly won projects for success and oversee early delivery phases while anticipating market trends and client needs.
The ideal candidate brings extensive highways and civil infrastructure design and delivery experience, a strong market presence and existing relationships with national infrastructure clients, local authorities and contractors. They demonstrate inspirational leadership, foster inclusive teams across disciplines, and have a proven record of winning and exceeding business growth targets.
Required qualifications include a track record of achieving financial KPIs, winning work and maintaining client relationships in the region, and experience with Transport Scotland, National Highways and construction partners. Preferred credentials are membership of a recognised professional body and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
