Description

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and hazardous‑waste investigations.
• Lead multidisciplinary field teams for soil, groundwater, and air sampling activities.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports while overseeing subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with performance standards.
• Mentor and train junior environmental professionals in field and reporting techniques.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is advantageous. Relevant certifications such as a current 40‑hour HAZWOPER, ASTM Environmental Professional, CHMM, PE, or similar credentials are preferred, along with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Candidates need three to eight years of experience performing the duties described, including at least one year of budget and staff management. Required skills include strong technical writing, attention to detail, effective communication, familiarity with ASTM Phase I (E1527‑21) and Phase II (E1903) standards, and the ability to work independently. The role also calls for mentoring junior staff and collaborating with technical teams on report deliverables, with a preference for experience serving public agencies, utilities, or private industry and knowledge of industrial‑hygiene services.

• Maintain current 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification and relevant industry credentials (e.g., EP, CHMM, PE).
• Demonstrate 3–8 years of relevant experience, with at least one year in project budget and staff coordination.
• Exhibit proficiency with ASTM E1527‑21 and E1903 standards and the capacity to work independently.
• Possess experience serving public agencies, government entities, utilities, or private‑sector clients; industrial‑hygiene background is a plus.
