• Maintain a strong presence in the regional market through professional networking and client engagement.
• Lead renewal strategy planning, open enrollment meetings, and benefits consultations.
• Manage and retain a portfolio of approximately 40 middle-market employee benefits clients.
• Participate in internal planning meetings, training, and team-building initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and organic growth within existing accounts.
• Provide proactive problem-solving and forward-thinking recommendations that align with each client’s business objectives.
• Partner closely with internal account executives and service staff to ensure client satisfaction and consistency in service delivery.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with HR leaders and executive teams.

Requirements

Our client, a respected and growth-minded insurance brokerage, is seeking an Employee Benefits Risk Advisor to join their advisory team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on developing client relationships, delivering consultative benefits guidance, and leading strategic renewal discussions.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills; capable of engaging C-suite and HR leaders effectively.
• Comfortable with complex and candid business conversations.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Familiarity with agency management systems and carrier portals.
• Strong technical understanding of employee benefits concepts and renewal strategy planning.
• High level of emotional intelligence, client focus, and initiative.
• Active Life and Health license (or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment).
• Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships with professionalism and minimal supervision.
• Professional designations such as GBA, CEBS, or similar credentials.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Forward-thinking and proactive problem solver.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in insurance sales or service, preferably in employee benefits.
• Strong communicator with persuasive and intuitive client presence.
• Experience with mid-sized agencies or brokerages.
