Maintain complete project documentation related to engineering studies and calculations, designs, as-built requirements, and feedback;
Coordinate design activities with members of the multidisciplinary project team;
Perform optimal designs in accordance with industry standards, specifications, and engineering best practices;
Design electrical substations, including site layout and equipment arrangement, general electrical layout, elevations, busbars, grounding grids, lightning protection, etc.;
Maintain good working relationships with internal and external groups supporting projects, such as other engineering disciplines, drafting, project management, etc.;
Support resolution of field issues/non-conformities, attend site meetings, and perform site inspections during the construction phase of projects;
Mentor and support team engineers in their development.
Assist senior engineers in various engineering and design activities;
Prepare specifications for materials, equipment, and construction work, and select equipment and materials;
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, best practices, and constructability;

Knowledge of and experience using AutoCAD;
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required;
Master’s or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline considered an asset.
Knowledge and experience with high-voltage electrical networks, substation equipment (switchgear, protection and control), as well as distribution systems, typically at voltages of 25 kV, 120 kV, 230 kV, or higher;
Knowledge and experience with electrical network simulation software, such as CYME, PSSE, ETAP;
Experience working for a public utility;
Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in the design, operation, or execution of electrical substations.
Familiar with industry standards through certain organizations, such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE);
Knowledge of substation and power plant instrumentation and their digitization.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in French (working language) and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
Ability to succeed in a team environment, act as an informed owner, and maintain a strong customer focus;
