A Plastic Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the packaging, labeling, and visual quality inspection of all products produced on their respective production line. The role also assists Line Operators with line start‑ups, shutdowns, and tooling changeovers, partnering closely to meet established production goals. The position requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as needed.
Key duties include embracing a culture of safety, conducting final visual inspections and labeling finished goods, tracking production quantities for efficiency, and using standard operating procedures to package pipe for customers. The technician maintains a safe work environment with consistent PPE use, assists with line tooling changes and downstream equipment setup, stays current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements, and practices continuous improvement in both the line and facility housekeeping. Career development is supported through ADS training programs to build and maintain job skills and earning potential.
The role requires self‑motivation, the ability to work independently, energetic performance in a fast‑paced environment, dependability, quick learning, teamwork, and basic mathematical skills. Preferred experience includes previous industrial or manufacturing work.
The position involves extended physical labor in fluctuating temperatures, requiring full range of body motion such as twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and the ability to mount/dismount equipment and vehicles. Candidates must stand and remain mobile during an 8‑12‑hour shift and use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport finished goods.
