The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the assigned community by performing maintenance and enhancing property value, stepping in for the Maintenance Manager when needed. This role requires coordination of emergency on‑call duties, timely completion of work orders, and clear communication with residents and staff.
Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, and drywall, as well as conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The assistant also collaborates with internal teams and external contractors, maintains organized shop inventory, and reports supply needs.
Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED, one year of multifamily maintenance experience, and an EPA certification; a CPO certification and basic Microsoft Office skills are preferred. A valid driver’s license is required, and the role demands physical capabilities such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and using power tools in varied environments.
