Overview

Inspect and ensure compliance of electrical systems on transportation infrastructure projects

Tasks

-Conduct inspection of electrical, controls, high/low voltage systems, fiber, etc. at Transportation facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit, Ports, etc. -Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers -Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses -Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents -Oversee testing, commissioning and acceptance of specialized electrical systems.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or NICET Level II certification or a comparable combination of education and experience. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma) -Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities -OSHA 30-hour training -Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) -Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities -5+ years’ experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJ Transit, NJTA, NJDOT. -A minimum of 3 years experience -Excellent Organizational and communication skills required. -PE license in New York or New Jersey -HDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy supports our commitment to employee safety and exceeding client requirements.
