Inspect, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements and system inspections.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Perform Federal Inspections and repair issues that are found during the inspection.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
Inspect and change tires as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work using maintenance management system.
Interpret and follow technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for accurate repairs and maintenance.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly calibrated.
Offer recommendations for future preventative maintenance or repairs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Communicate effectively with managers and Lead mechanic, providing detailed explanations of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services.
Address any deficiencies or discrepancies promptly, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and vehicle/equipment safety.
This role may require working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet operational needs.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Perform brake inspections, adjustments and replacements.
