The role is part of the site development practice within the Buildings & Places business group, contributing to project teams that handle planning, design, and construction administration for both public and private projects. Clients and project sites are spread throughout the Northeast, and the engineer will collaborate closely with project managers and senior staff. A customer‑focused mindset and a passion for delivering high‑quality results are essential.
GFT is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Engineer to support a variety of projects across the Northeast region. The position follows a hybrid work model with regular attendance required at the New York City office. Candidates must be able to travel within the region as needed.

Candidates must hold a BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) and a Professional Engineer license, with at least seven years of site/land development experience. A thorough understanding of local, state, and federal land‑development regulations, stormwater management, and utility design is required, along with proven project‑management skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, as well as strong written and verbal communication, are also needed.
The salary range for this full‑time position is $125,000‑$155,000, dependent on experience and location, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
