One of the Department Manager's goals is to develop a technically strong team of engineers with the ability to execute projects in the Commercial and Government HVAC market by providing mentorship and growth opportunities.

  • Collaboration with the Project Managers regarding project budgets with an eye on ensuring that budgets are met.
  • Collaboration with the Project Managers to determine resource allocation of staff to ensure that project design schedules can be met.
  • Collaborating with the Project Managers to evaluate staff performing design of projects.
  • Establishing/improving standards for discipline area.
  • Technical and Quality oversight of all project work for discipline area.
  • Periodically perform Performance Development Program Reviews (PDP Reviews).

  • Proven leadership skills delegating to engineering and design staff.
  • Energy Modeling experience.
  • Good verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines, and client interface.
  • REVIT and AutoCAD skells necessary.
  • Attention to project scope during the design process to identify potential additional services.
  • Must have experience in construction administration tasks.
  • 15-20 years of design experience in the Commercial and Government HVAC Industry.
  • Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the International Mechanical Code (IMC), ASHRAE 90.1, and other related Codes.
  • Must have experience designing mechanical systems and producing design deliverables.
  • BS in mechanical engineering.
  • Adherence to project design schedule.
  • PE is required.
