Develop a comprehensive understanding of the program’s strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers
Making outbound calls to new and existing customers to identify new projects and meet assigned energy-saving targets
Ensure projects in the assigned territory are up to date in the program tracking system by communicating with customers and contractors on project status and expected completion dates.
Developing and implementing sales strategies, preparing, and conducting presentations on program details to various trade allies, customers, and utility staff via webinar or a live audience.
Provide assistance and guidance on energy-efficient technologies and projects to companies participating in utility-sponsored programs.
Prepare weekly activity reports and track progress toward program goals. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, reports and documents etc.
Build quick rapport with customers. Quickly initiate conversations with customers on-site regarding energy usage at the facility
Work with business and building owners, developers, architects, and engineers.
Enter data into spreadsheets and databases to determine energy savings and manage current projects which may also include collaborating with Energy Engineers as required

Previous customer service experience.
Bachelor's degree, desired.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Economic analysis and familiarity with energy efficiency program implementation.
Ability to travel up to 75% locally.
Personal protective equipment including a hard hat, safety glasses and proper footwear must be worn when required by the job site.
May occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration. In these circumstances, the employee will be required to comply with the prevailing safety training in place according to the individual customer requirements
Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to maintain and manage daily work schedule.
2+ years of experience with various customer facilities, energy systems, and energy-efficient or renewable technologies.
Ability to work independently when necessary but to function as part of a team, a drive to succeed, and a commitment to client satisfaction.
2+ years of experience managing accounts successfully at energy efficiency programs, with expertise in commercial, industrial, or government.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent client-facing communication skills
Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to handle a wide variety of work and work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
Must be able to work under tight deadlines.
