Scanning Survey Party Chief
Supports the administration of the survey work request program.
Supports the survey team’s implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs.
Provides technical support as related to survey to Field Engineering and Superintendents in a wide range of situation and configurations.
Possesses responsibility for checking the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities.
Provides laser scanning support
Oversees Civil project completion documentation including "As-Built" records.
Establishes and maintains Dimensional Control (DC) as required
Performs field scans / reality capture surveys
Establishes and/or verifies and maintains the project’s survey control network.
Provides oversights of the Calibration Baseline checks of survey instruments.

Knowledge of heavy industrial construction survey principles. Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to heavy industrial construction surveying field & office activities.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Survey CAD software, such as TBC (Trimble Business Center) and AutoCAD Civil 3D; including proficiency General awareness of environmental laws. Awareness of government compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment, able to formulate a working relationship with survey team members, other departments, and contractors, and survey functional management. Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
