  • Collaboration: Work closely with civil engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver coordinated drawing packages.
  • BIM & Digital Engineering: Support the adoption of digital engineering workflows, including data management and model collaboration as required by MRWA and project stakeholders.
  • Documentation Preparation: Develop and manage detailed drawing sets, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, and detail sheets for tender, construction, and as-built purposes.
  • MRWA Standards Compliance: Produce and review drawings to ensure alignment with Main Roads WA guidelines, specifications, and protocols.
  • Detailed Design Drafting: Prepare high-quality civil engineering drawings for highways, interchanges, and roadworks using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • Mentoring: Provide technical support and guidance to less-experienced drafters within the team.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct self-checks and peer reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliverables in accordance with project and MRWA requirements.

  • Previous involvement in major infrastructure programs across WA.
  • Proven experience delivering projects for, or in partnership with, Main Roads WA, including familiarity with their Engineering and Technical Services Panel operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with BIM, 3D modelling, and digital delivery methodologies.
  • High level of accuracy in producing and checking drawings and models.
  • Advanced (or approaching advanced) skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or Microstation platforms.
