The officer will manage a diary and a portfolio of properties, carrying out inspections, raising work orders for repairs and following up on completion. They will balance office‑based tasks with direct support, maintaining regular face‑to‑face and telephone contact to encourage engagement with appointments and services. Support includes assistance with health, finances, repairs, move‑on planning, arranging appointments and referrals, and delivering food parcels and essential resources. The role also involves helping users secure appropriate accommodation and contributing to a frontline team that supports individuals facing drug misuse, homelessness, mental health challenges, trafficking or offending histories.
Applicants must have demonstrable experience in a similar housing, support or welfare role, strong communication skills and the ability to manage conflict and challenging situations. A full UK driving licence is essential for travelling between properties, and competency in Microsoft Office and general IT is required. The successful candidate should be naturally supportive, trustworthy, empathetic and patient.
The position offers a salary of up to £29,856.80 per annum together with a company allowance. It is based in the Tees Valley covering Stockton, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Redcar, and is a full‑time, six‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
