Our client, a respected employee-owned consulting firm known for its innovative and practical approach to mine water management and site planning, is seeking an Intermediate Mine Site Modeling Specialist to join their growing team in Vancouver, BC, Vernon, BC, or Calgary, AB.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven engineer or scientist who enjoys hydrology, mine water systems, and data-driven modeling. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers and hydrologists to build and refine GoldSim water balance models that guide mine planning, operations, and environmental permitting across Western Canada.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Proven experience using GoldSim for water balance or system modeling; experience with probabilistic or stochastic modeling is an asset.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to mine sites or remote locations for project work.
- P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation, or eligibility for registration with EGBC or APEGA.
- Understanding of mine water systems, infrastructure, and environmental permitting processes in BC or Alberta.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mining Engineering, Hydrology, or Geoscience.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in hydrology, water resources, or environmental modeling (mine water experience preferred).
