The PM leads and coordinates complex substation, transmission line, and gas projects, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to manage planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closeout. Projects include new transmission line installs, substation builds, automation, distributed generation, and gas infrastructure, often exceeding $100 million in value and spanning multiple contracts.
Key responsibilities include analyzing project performance, controlling scope, schedule and cost, approving plans, managing procurement, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The manager develops detailed schedules, risk‑management plans, and uses critical‑path and earned‑value techniques to monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
The role requires strong stakeholder coordination, including working with consultants, attorneys, utilities, regulators and major customers, and may involve representing the company at regulatory hearings. The PM also reports to senior leadership, presenting cost‑schedule‑risk views and participating in executive management meetings.

Required qualifications include the ability to mobilize matrixed teams, expertise in risk management, advanced schedule development, and proficiency with financial analysis tools. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of relevant experience, PMP certification, construction safety training, and proven experience in heavy‑construction project delivery and contract negotiations.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Primavera, an engineering degree or energy‑industry background, OSHA certification, and an advanced degree. The organization expects candidates to demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and teamwork skills, as well as a global perspective on business results and continuous improvement.
