  • Developing climate change adaptation frameworks for integrated water management plans.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables to meet our client’s needs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective and innovative solutions.
  • Recommending and evaluating adaptation measures to increase the resilience of vulnerable facilities.
  • Developing and implementing resilience plans for various cities and water agencies.
  • Contributing to the growth of the firm’s Resilience and Sustainability practice.
  • Analyzing climate change impacts on water supplies (surface water, groundwater, and imported water) and demands.
  • Conducting climate change vulnerability and risk assessments for water and wastewater infrastructure.

  • 6-8 years of professional experience in the water and/or wastewater industry.
  • Ability to adapt and work independently or as part of a team on multiple priority projects and deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in climate change vulnerability assessments and resilience planning.
  • Strong professional abilities, including the ability to perform complex tasks, relate to others, make evaluations and decisions, accept responsibility, express ideas, and work within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Additional training or coursework in climate change adaptation, resilience planning, or a related field is an added benefit.
  • Proactive communicator, both internally and externally, working effectively with junior and senior project staff.
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering, sustainability, water resources, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, water resources, environmental planning, climate science, or a related field.
  • Experience in climate change adaptation and resilience, including data collection and analysis, research and reporting, and policy analysis.
  • Staying current with the latest climate science, planning requirements, and available modeling resources.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collect, compile, analyze, and manage large, quantitative and qualitative datasets.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Experience with risk and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of publicly available climate data sources and databases.
  • Direct experience in resilience and planning in addition to engineering.
