Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Driving: Operate a ready-mix concrete truck, ensuring safe transport of concrete to various job sites.
Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and perform minor repairs on the vehicle if needed.
Customer Service: Provide quality customer during deliveries. This role is crucial in our industry, ensuring timely and safe delivery of concrete for various projects.
Communication: Maintain communication contact with the dispatch base for efficient routing.
Maintain the equipment according to the standards set in place by the company and manufacturer’s specifications.
Lifting, pushing, pulling of heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs. or more.
Other duties include loading the truck with ready mix concrete, driving the concrete to the job site and helping unload the mixed concrete.
Safety: Observe all safety regulations and maintain superior public relations while on duty.

Ability to navigate uneven and rough terrain safely.
Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements, in all weather conditions.
Previous experience operating a cement truck or similar (heavy equipment preferred).
Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects, and potentially lie down.
Knowledge with DOT regulations.
Ability and willingness to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct daily.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work, day, swing, and night shifts (occasionally extended hours).
Ability to recognize hazardous conditions.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Ability to squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces.
Knowledge of concrete mixing an pouring techniques is a plus.
Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with clean driving record.
Ability to work in safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment.
