Director of Development

They're looking to add a Director of Development to their team who will lead their project execution division reporting to the CPO. You will take over projects from origination once site control, interconnection agreements, due diligence, and leadership approval are complete. You will then lead the initial execution phase, managing design and permitting to deliver shovel-ready assets. You will also manage a team of 2.

• Manage engineering and permitting strategies, guiding key technical and regulatory decisions.
• Serve as primary liaison with executive leadership on progress, risks, and major decisions.
• Lead handover of projects to construction with complete documentation and risk mitigation.
• Manage a high-performing project execution team.
• Maintain accountability for budgets, schedules, and quality targets.
• Oversee a portfolio of BESS projects from origination handoff through site design and permitting, ensuring shovel-ready delivery on budget and schedule.

• Experience with utility scale projects preferred
• Expertise in design, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Strong financial acumen; proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets.
• 10+ years of experience in project development (energy, infrastructure, or real estate).
• Excellent communication skills with experience reporting to executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Min 4 years of leadership experience managing teams.
• Strong BESS experience or a combo of Solar & Storage experience

Salary: $170K-$215K + 40% bonus
