Description

The role supports factory operations in Chicago, assisting in the creation, delivery, and evaluation of training programs for employees to contribute to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

• Develop and update training materials (work instructions, SOPs, safety guides, digital modules) for factory personnel.
• Shadow and support trainers delivering on‑the‑job and classroom training for new hires and upskilling.
• Coordinate training schedules, track attendance, and maintain records in the LMS.
• Observe workflow processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to training content.
• Participate in safety training initiatives, including toolbox talks and compliance support.
• Evaluate training effectiveness via surveys, assessments, and feedback.
• Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Quality, and HR to align training with plant goals.
• Digitize and organize training assets for easy access and scalability.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in HR, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Education, or related field.
• Prior internship or project experience in training, instructional design, or corporate learning.
• Basic understanding of adult learning principles and evaluation methods (e.g., Kirkpatrick model).
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and willing to wear PPE.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; LMS or e‑learning tool experience a plus.
• Self‑starter with strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site at Chicago factory for the internship duration.
• Familiarity with OSHA or manufacturing safety standards.
• Experience creating video or multimedia training content.
• Basic data analysis skills to interpret training metrics.
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish or Polish) are a strong asset.

Compensation includes a base pay range of $15–$15 USD, with total compensation determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
