Perform basic Fire and Building Code analysis.
Fire protection system layout and development of construction documents.
Perform sprinkler hydraulic calculations.
Construction support activities include responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing punch walks.
Support the lead fire protection engineer in developing engineering analyses, including smoke control, combustible dust, energy storage systems, hazardous materials, etc.
Support the design of fire sprinklers, fire alarms, and special suppression systems for diverse projects.
Perform fire alarm calculations.
Perform site assessments and reports.

Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
EIT certification preferred.
US Citizenship preferred.
NICET Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm certified.
Experience in health care and/or federal jobs.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
Proficient in applying the California Building and Fire Codes, with experience implementing NFPA design standards.
3-6 years of experience in fire suppression/fire alarm design.
Proficient in AutoSPRINK or HydraCALC sprinkler calculation software.
