As Site Engineer you will support in the delivery of Site Clearance, Drainage & Service Ducts, Earthworks, Pavements, Kerbs & Footways, Street Lighting and various other civil engineering elements, ensuring works are constructed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. The Site Engineer will undertake setting out and as-built surveys and manage quality check sheets / ITPs and onsite inspections.

  • Quality Readiness Reviews – assisting in Lessons Learnt/Improvements
  • NCRs & Defects – Assisting with documenting, tracking and closing out
  • Surveys and collation of as-built information
  • QA Records – assisting with keeping organised and accurate QA records – checksheets and inspection records
  • ITPs – Checking the process is being followed
  • TQs – Highlight issues and raise queries to the appropriate line manager

An opportunity is available for a Site Engineer at Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk. To be considered, you will come from a Construction or Civil Engineering background and have been in the role of a Site or Section engineer within a Civil Engineering Highways environment a priority.

  • Proficient in setting out and surveying
  • Experience in Civil Engineering, with good technical knowledge of RC structures
  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures desirable
  • Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Skilled in the use of a variety of setting out instruments. Confident in understanding reinforcement drawings and BBS
  • Permanent Design – Familiarising yourself with the design drawings, specifications and setting out requirements and ensure accurate construction in accordance with requirements
  • Accurate setting out duties on site using relevant surveying equipment
  • Desirable / working towards, but not essential: IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS, SSSTS, First Aider, Fire Marshall, IPAF (for MEWPs), Fit for work medical (or safety critical medical), TWS desirable
  • Knowledge of RC works, formwork, working in high profile, Tier 1 environment with attention to health, safety, environment and quality
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experienced and proficient with Trimble or Leica EDMs & Laser Level
  • CSCS - (White PQP)
  • Computer literate including MS Office, AutoCad and cloud based systems
  • Ability to speak up on HSEQ matters and lead by example
  • Good communication and people skills. Able to work under own initiative
