General Accountant

Description

• Execute Accounts Payable duties to ensure accurate and timely recording of supplier invoices, coordinating supplier approvals and preparing payable disbursement reports.
• Execute Accounts Receivables functions to ensure accurate and timely recording of customer sales orders, set up of customer master files, preparation of customer invoices, executing collection calls and troubleshooting customer collection issues.
• Organizing office maintenance including building management, outsourced IT interactions and janitorial services to ensure clean and safe office environment.
• Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure account activity is validated and reconciling items, if any, are appropriately explained.
• Handling and logging critical guest visits and phone calls to ensure everyone is given appropriate focus and attention.
• Works on special projects and tasks assigned by Assistant Controller, Chief Executive and Financial Officer.
• Timely prepare accurate month-end journal entry and supporting workpapers.
• Assist Chief Financial and Executive Officers, with day-to-day administration tasks such as but not limited to scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, and meeting minutes.

Requirements

Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Primary responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable administration, preparing of month-end journal entries, reconciling account balance and assisting with special projects.
