
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive strategic planning for assigned assets.
Maximize asset potential through strategic project development and execution of new initiatives. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and net benefit reporting for projects, collaborating with operations management to ensure budget compliance and return projections are met.
As Vice President of Asset Management, you will oversee and direct the management and operations of assigned real estate assets generating over $1 billion in annual revenue and more than $300 million in EBITDA. You will serve as the primary point of contact for property managers and provide strategic guidance to on-property leadership teams. You’ll participate in senior-level hiring decisions and identify opportunities to grow revenue, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. You will be responsible for evaluating and recommending major capital investments to the EVP/COO and will act as a key liaison between the properties and design & construction project managers. You’ll help develop and execute strategic visions for select assets, direct market research efforts to support these initiatives, and play a critical role in negotiating material management agreement amendments with Marriott International. Your ultimate goal will be to maximize the total return on investment of the assets under your oversight. Position based in Nashville, TN with frequent travel required to assigned assets. Reports to Senior Vice President of Asset Management with Ryman Hospitality Properties.
Provide direct support and advisory services in the negotiation of material management agreement amendments with Marriott International.
Identify, evaluate, and recommend material capital investment opportunities (including projects exceeding $100 million) for existing assets to the EVP/COO.
Direct and establish business plans, budgets and forecasts for select assets. Lead on-property Ryman Hospitality Properties teams in addressing financial challenges and ensure delivery of projected results through direct accountability measures.
Oversee revenue, costs, and profitability of assigned assets. Analyze performance data, recommend revenue growth and cost reduction strategies to property teams, and ensure accountability from both on-property teams and Marriott leadership.
Maintain regular communication with senior asset management leadership, including the SVP and EVP/COO. Provide updates on asset performance through daily, weekly, and monthly communication as needed.
Act as designated representative of the SVP of Asset Management when required, with authority to make autonomous decisions when necessary.
Engage with clients and conduct direct market research to facilitate long-term planning for sustainable operations and revenue maximization.
Serve as primary liaison with operators and property managers of assigned assets. Evaluate and provide employment recommendations for senior on-property leadership across all managed assets.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
10+ years' experience in financial/strategic planning, asset management, and operations analysis
Extensive expertise in formulating, implementing, and executing business plans
Must be able to present information and communicate effectively with senior management, employees and consultants at all levels
5+ years' experience in hotel operations/management and/or real estate management/investments
Accustomed to working on high-growth or developing brands with a history of cultivating meaningful solutions and strength in identifying growth opportunities
Advanced business acumen and revenue development skills, including significant strategic thinking capabilities
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
Must have experience representing the client owner as well as leading a team of professionals
MBA or advanced degree preferred Experience
Leadership strength in building, inspiring, and motivating teams to achieve targeted results
