Supervisor - Scaffold

Overview

Supervises scaffold crews, coordinates schedules, ensures compliance on mining projects.

Tasks

-Schedules work to be performed from 3-week lookahead scaffold requests and reviews work accomplished by each craft. -Ensures the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations. -Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients’ resident representatives, as instructed by construction management. -Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned. -Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets. -Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation. -Coordinates established area operational plans.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents. -Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation. -Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health. -Prior experience on construction projects with knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities. -Requires 5-8 years of relevant scaffolding industrial project experience or 9 -12 years of relevant scaffolding work experience -Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce. -Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements. -Strong analytical and judicious planning: able to prioritize and balance short-term and long-term priorities.
