  • Partner with project teams to drive safety improvements
  • Lead toolbox talks, orientations, and safety trainings
  • Develop and review Job Hazard and Activity Hazard Analyses (JHAs/AHAs)
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections for powerline, underground, and communications work
  • Document and communicate inspection findings through Microsoft Forms, Word, or Excel reports, and email distributions
  • Monitor OSHA, DOT, and EM 385-1-1 compliance
  • Serve as a safety resource during preconstruction planning, energization activities, and confined space or high-voltage work.
  • Investigate and document incidents and near misses

We're looking for an experienced Safety Specialist to support field operations and promote a strong safety culture across multiple job sites.

The ideal candidate is proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and experienced in Teams or similar collaboration platforms for meetings, training, and document sharing. They can efficiently complete and submit reports through SharePoint, OneDrive, or comparable systems, and are comfortable working with digital inspection tools, cloud-based safety platforms, and mobile data collection apps such as SiteDocs, iAuditor, or Procore. Strong written communication skills are essential for clear, professional documentation and email correspondence.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • 3+ years of construction safety experience (powerline, fiber, or utility preferred)
  • Preferred: OSHA 30, CHST/STS/CSP, CPR/First Aid, bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926 and EM 385-1-1
