Description

Caregivers work full‑time on a Sunday‑to‑Thursday shift (2:00 pm‑10:00 pm) and are responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, personal hygiene, transportation, mealtime support, and safety checks while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.

• Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
• Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs while preserving dignity
• Read and follow care plans to provide appropriate care
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and bathroom needs
• Support residents during meals, including selection and serving
• Transport residents safely using proper lifting techniques
• Perform regular safety checks on residents
• Encourage participation in daily activities like bed making and laundry
• Lead residents in meaningful, enriching activities
• Maintain cleanliness, laundry, and community duties as assigned
• Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per medical orders
• Document incidents and changes in condition, notifying supervisors immediately
• Carry walkie‑talkies and respond to alerts and emergencies
• Ensure safety during fire drills and other safety procedures
• Promote teamwork through open communication across departments
• Treat residents, families, and guests with tact and friendliness
• Follow MBK policies on meal breaks and rest periods
• Meet all state regulatory requirements

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess basic certifications such as first aid. The role requires English proficiency, the ability to follow directions, and the physical capability to lift 40+ pounds and perform tasks like kneeling, squatting, and bending.

• Age 18 or older with required work authorization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurse aide certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Pass background checks and provide recent negative TB test
• Caregiving experience preferred; on‑the‑job training available
• Read and speak English proficiently
• Follow oral and written directions accurately
• Interact effectively with diverse ages and backgrounds
• Mobile and able to kneel, squat, reach overhead, and bend
• Capable of lifting 40+ pounds and pushing 150 pounds unassisted
