Lead, manage, and monitor the performance of ELV team members, ensuring timely performance evaluations, mentoring, and reporting.
Review ELV designs, electrical drawings, reports, specifications, and material submissions at all stages of design and construction to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project scope and contractual requirements. Review all technical submittals including design drawings, shop drawings, method statements, material approvals, subcontractor approvals, and verify that as-built drawings accurately reflect site conditions.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and regulations. Promote HSE awareness among team members and support HSE audits, reviews, and evaluations of system studies, submissions, and modifications.
Ensure that materials, equipment, and workmanship comply with DAR standards and approved technical specifications. Maintain and reference approved contracts, specifications, drawings, and the Contractor’s QA/QC manual. Develop and maintain an ELV vendor and systems information database for team reference.
Assist the Quantity Surveyor in assessing completed works for interim and final payment certifications, including identifying substandard or incomplete works and ensuring such items are recorded in progress reports.
Coordinate with other departments and engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues, align project design standards, and review risks, deviations, and derogations.
Participate in schedule review meetings, monthly progress meetings, coordination meetings, and constructability review meetings. Provide technical input to progress reports by verifying completed works, work-in-progress status, quality observations, and recommendations for improvement.
Ensure effective integration of ELV systems with the Building Management System (BMS), including system monitoring, alarm management, data collection, inputs, and outputs.
Supervise, inspect, test, commission, and oversee the installation of all Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring works are executed in accordance with approved construction drawings, contract documents, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements. Review contractor deviations and ensure satisfactory corrective and remedial actions are implemented.
