Controller

Description

• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, variance analysis
• Manage all accounting, compliance, and sales tax across Canada/U.S.
• Assist with M&A activities as required
• Manage the insurance, banking, auditors, government bodies and other 3rd party relationships
• Be a hands on Controller supervising and mentoring a growing team of 2 responsible for AP, billings, AR and Payroll.

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Great Planes, Netsuite or similar ERP platforms
• Corporate or shared services experience an asset
• Experience supporting construction, building material or project-based service businesses preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset
• Proven ability to manage accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions
• Strong understanding of both Canadian and U.S. GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements
• CPA designation with 5+ years experience in a Controller, Finance Manager or other Leadership role.
