  • An Ecologist or Environmental Scientist with a BS degree or higher, familiar with wetlands and native plant identification
  • Strong experience with USACE NC/NE Regional Supplement and state wetland programs (MA 2022 BVW, CT Inland Wetlands, etc.)
  • General awareness of Section 106 / SHPO compliance beneficial but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to projects, team-player working with design/engineering, ecologists, construction compliance and mapping to support solutions-based client services.
  • Experience with natural resource surveys and methodologies (vegetation, wildlife, water, soils, and site characteristics/conditions) in conjunction with the use of a Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment, required.
  • Exhibit strong technical writing, field documentation and scientific data collection in accordance with regulatory programs and technical guidance.
  • Section 7 ESA protected species, biological monitoring and habitat assessment experience a plus
  • FAA license and drone pilot capabilities a plus.
  • Experience with proposal, scope development and cost estimation.
  • State wetland and waters permitting experience in MA and CT required, RI preferred, ME and NH a plus
  • CT Soil Evaluator qualified preferred, MA Title 5 Soil Evaluator a plus.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.
  • 38-hour USACE Delineation training preferred.
  • Experience completing wetland and regulated waters delineation independently or as a field team lead.
  • GIS/CAD capabilities preferred, not required
  • 5-10 years of experience with wetland and regulated waters delineation, habitat assessment and routine permitting requirements for wetlands, waters, floodplains, and buffer zones within inland and coastal/tidal ecosystems.
  • Experience with Deltek Vantage Point and project accounting, invoicing and contract execution beneficial but not required.
  • SWPPP, CESSWI, or other a plus.
