  • Lead Security & ICT discipline projects on behalf of the group (operating as Job or Project Leader as appropriate), taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships.
  • Prepare bid proposals and additional fee proposals with support of the Group Director(s) and Associate Directors(s).
  • In charge of multiple projects across the group, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions.
  • Work within a truly multidisciplinary environment, capitalising on Buro Happold’s extensive knowledge base in building physics, micro-climate analysis, climate change mitigation and energy master planning to inform truly environmentally responsive MEP designs.
  • Guiding the lower level team members in order to achieve the project success.
  • Support the group in seeking new work from existing clients
  • Accountable for effective resource planning for their projects, and financial performance if advised by the Group Director .
  • Review, with the support of the Associate Director or Director, job financial performance and manage resources accordingly.
  • Reporting on technical, commercial, financial and people performance of the team as determined by the Group Director.
  • Lead a team on specific projects within the Group (mainly junior Engineers and Technicians).
  • Take ownership for external relationships with architects, clients, and contractors, supporting the group in generating new work-streams.
  • Support delivery of the team’s Performance and Development Review process.
  • Undertake project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects. Undertake site visits as needed for the smooth operation of the project(s).
  • Prepare Technical proposals.
  • Contribute to group initiatives with respect to technical development / market sectors and processes.
  • Prepare Technical Specifications and check work/specifications of subordinates.
  • Play a significant leadership role on some of the most iconic and architecturally inspiring projects in India.

  • Worked in Autodesk tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revit
  • You will have a good knowledge of standards applicable to security and related systems.
  • Authored technical security specifications on projects
  • Ideally – a knowledge of basic coding (C#), which can be applied to the development of design tools to facilitate automation.
  • You will have an understanding of the design process and approach to designing security systems (VSS, AACS, IDS, PIDS, SMS), specifically being able to identify critical considerations and factors in design.
  • You have been working in a design role with experience of designing security systems in the built environment for 15+ years.
  • You will be able to clearly communicate concepts of security design and the rational which form the basis of a design.
