Insulation: Insulate ductwork to prevent heat loss or gain and reduce noise transmission.
Testing & Balancing: Test and balance the airflow in the ductwork system to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Ductwork Installation: Install ductwork in commercial or residential buildings, ensuring proper alignment and connection of sections.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout and requirements for ductwork systems.
Accessory Installation: Install dampers, grilles, registers, and other accessories as required by design specifications.
Sealing & Maintenance: Seal joints and connections with appropriate sealants or tapes to ensure air-tightness, and inspect and repair ductwork for leaks, damage, or corrosion.
Cutting & Shaping: Use shears, saws, and bending machines to cut and form sheet metal into duct sections and fittings.
Assembly & Joining: Assemble and join ductwork components using welding, soldering, or mechanical fastening techniques.
Collaboration: Work closely with HVAC technicians, engineers, and other team members to ensure the proper integration and functioning of HVAC systems.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain ductwork systems to ensure proper airflow and prevent the buildup of dust or contaminants.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
Measuring & Marking: Accurately measure and mark sheet metal for cutting and shaping to fit the required dimensions and design.
