Reviews market trends within the CoreCivic space and recommends technology strategies to align with the business initiatives. Develops and maintains the technology roadmaps that drive innovation within the organization for all infrastructure hardware, software and cloud-based technologies to improve the customer experience, efficiency to innovate and excel.
Governs the introduction of new technologies. Reviews, aligns, and drives technology plans with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes.
Reviews technical designs to ensure that they are consistent with defined architecture principles, standards and best practices. Accountable for the availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability enabled by the designs. Works with business partners to ensure design meets desired outcomes.
Develops and maintains written policies, procedures, standards and best practices using vendor or industry standard sources to build and support CoreCivic Enterprise IT environments.
Manages cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines.
Translates business requirements into technical designs that ensure availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability.
Collaborates with both IT and business senior leadership to influence budget decisions for technology and business investment.
Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced team members through complex troubleshooting processes and translates very technical information into user terminology for business units.

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other related field is required.
Four years of experience in a similar role for a multi-location enterprise organization is required.
Ability to collaborate, communicate and coordinate with team members and other organizational groups or customers to ensure the proper design, implementation, support and maintenance of systems.
Knowledge of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge of IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi-platform environment.
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
MSCE and/or VCP certification is preferred.
Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
Additional related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience supporting various infrastructure technologies within a multi-platform, enterprise environment including but not limited to: Public and Private Cloud Management Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS, Office365 Suite, VMware, Storage and Backup Technologies, Citrix, Cisco UCS Platform, SCCM, Disaster Recovery, Hyper converge technologies Nutanix (preferred), server build, maintenance and support, Active Directory management, installing and supporting operating systems- Windows, Linux etc. Knowledge of IAAS, SAAS, PAAS and DRAAS.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
A valid driver's license is required.
