The Multi‑Trade Maintenance Employee will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the plant’s production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Work includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installing new devices, and supporting equipment upgrades to enhance safety, productivity, and quality.
- Follow all company, state, and federal safety regulations (NFPA70E, OSHA).
- Implement, upgrade, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install control systems.
- Develop and modify PLC ladder logic for production equipment.
- Independently maintain plant electrical systems and install new devices.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of control systems.
- Maintain backup documentation of equipment settings.
- Communicate with operators to resolve electrical issues.
- Design and deliver training for maintenance staff and operators on new controls.
- Perform welding, burning, and cutting, including MIG and stick welding.
- Execute mechanical modifications and upgrades on machinery.
- Gather data for new or existing equipment and manage inventory levels.
- Collaborate with vendors and consultants to troubleshoot electrical and control issues.
- Work safely, following all safety rules, inspecting equipment, and completing required paperwork.
- Wear and maintain required PPE and understand safety device operation.
- Keep the maintenance area clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lb, standing 8+ hours, and occasional climbing or kneeling.
- Apply basic mathematics and use precision measuring tools.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, and controlled noise.
