The Right of Way Supervisor will take on a leadership role within the Right of Way team, coordinating with agents, clients, engineers, and other disciplines to deliver transportation, energy, or utility projects on schedule and on budget. This role also involves training and mentoring staff while managing workload for the assigned team.
- Receive broad guidance from senior management; manage people and processes; ensure quality assurance of staff work.
- Assist field agents with on‑site right‑of‑way and utility property assessments.
- Manage daily assignments, allocate resources, track results, and report progress regularly.
- Implement and enforce project processes and procedures.
- Identify challenges, develop and implement solutions.
- Review timesheets and conduct employee evaluations.
- Build effective relationships with internal leaders, peers, and external clients; act as a “citizen” breaking down silos.

The position is primarily based in an indoor professional office environment, with occasional local travel and occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, or reaching of up to 20 pounds. Standard office equipment and occasional travel during the business day, including some out‑of‑area or overnight trips, may be required.

- Demonstrate high motivation, problem‑solving attitude, urgency, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
- Exhibit self‑reliance, marketing/business‑development mindset, and ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive tasks.
- Understand basic financial reports and metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent right‑of‑way experience.
- 5+ years in land acquisition, easement, title research or related field.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in right‑of‑way (preferred).
- Knowledge of acquisition, permitting, due diligence, public relations, community outreach, and related regulatory/legal issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database systems.
- Ability to read design plans/profiles and lead a right‑of‑way team.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; ability to obtain a real‑estate license within 90 days if required.
- Bilingual abilities preferred.
