Supplier Quality Engineer

Description

This role supports supplier quality for major electrical equipment used in power and industrial projects. You’ll oversee supplier performance, conduct inspections and audits, manage nonconformances, and help drive continuous improvement across a global supply base. Ideal for candidates with deep electrical systems knowledge and strong quality/auditing experience who enjoy a mix of technical work, travel, and supplier engagement.

• Support supplier evaluations, qualification activities, and long-term quality improvement projects.
• Conduct scheduled audits based on supplier risk and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and deliver periodic quality performance summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Identify nonconformances, coordinate containment actions, and drive corrective/preventive measures.
• Provide supplier oversight through product inspections, documentation reviews, and witnessing factory testing as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Auditing experience (certifications are a plus but not required).
• Ability to travel up to 35%, including some international travel (passport required or must be able to obtain).
• 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant electrical standards and quality frameworks.
