Vehicle Fleet Manager

Description

• Disposal and re-marketing of all vehicles
• Determine optimal size and mix of the division fleet
• Maintenance of all vehicles/automobiles
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal laws related to vehicles sales, rentals, and related services including all corporate and division policies and procedures dealing with employment, compensation, health, safety, and labor/management relations
• Maintain current industry data on pricing of vehicles, related services, and product development
• Procure all vehicles for the Equipment Division
• Profit/loss and budgeting of Vehicle Operations
• Ensure relationships both internal and external are being enhanced with the Equipment Division

• Strong knowledge of vehicle types

• Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
• Proficiency in general office software (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) for reporting and administrative tasks
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certification, Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to work on call as needed
• 5+ years’ experience in vehicle servicing management
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time effective manner
• Budgeting and financial management skills to handle repair costs, inventory, and service contracts.
• Experience with procurement, terms and conditions
• Preferred experience in GPS Telematics monitoring for driver behavior.
• Ability to travel to various project sites across the North Texas Region
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
• Proven experience managing a service team and/or repair crew
• Experience with maintenance and repair of vehicles, including both preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of all local, state and national statutes and guidelines regarding vehicle licensing, certifications, permitting and hauling
