As a Process Facilities Engineer, you will be a technical leader in the design and optimization of Fervo’s innovative well pad facilities that deliver geothermal brine to / from the power facilities. You will apply advanced engineering judgment and first-principles analysis to develop high-performance, cost-effective system designs, while collaborating with other engineers focused on the power plant system design and influencing cross-disciplinary decision-making. As Fervo transitions from first-of-a-kind projects to scaling deployment of its plants, you will play a key role in driving standardization and efficiency improvements across projects. You will report to the Well Pad Facilities Lead Engineer.

  • Inform and support procurement efforts relating to well pad facilities scopes
  • Own specification generation, design, and analysis of process equipment for well pad facilities (gathering systems, sand management and solid handling systems, pump headers, pressure relief devices, well testing facilities and commissioning skids for flowback and startup)
  • Drive first-principles tradeoff analysis across brine gathering system to optimize system performance
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and accountability, modeling the values that define a world-class engineering team
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and accelerate designs while maintaining technical excellence
  • Collaborate closely across disciplines (electrical, mechanical, reservoir, drilling, construction) as well as with external partners to drive integrated solutions
  • Lead and participate in HAZOPs, operability & constructability reviews, and process safety assessments to ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective well pad facilities
