You’ll work on a wide range of projects—from investigating and restoring existing systems to designing new HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for renovations and ground-up developments. Services may include system analysis, energy modeling, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, design and retrofitting, commissioning, and forensic investigations.
Through a collaborative and energetic approach, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical engineering services for both existing facilities and new construction projects. In this role, you’ll bring advanced technical expertise, partner with cross-discipline project teams, and help ensure that mechanical systems perform efficiently, sustainably, and reliably.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts for HVAC and plumbing systems
- Analyze system performance and develop practical solutions, repair plans, or replacement strategies
- Support commissioning and construction administration to verify design intent and system performance
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and recommendations for clients
- Lead projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through completion
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; identify opportunities for additional services
- Design and document new mechanical systems for renovations and new construction projects
- Conduct forensic investigations of MEP systems to identify failures, performance issues, or non-compliance
- Perform field inspections, testing, and data collection; review drawings, specifications, and maintenance records

- Registered Professional Engineer in which offices/projects are located
- 8+ years of MEP consulting services, which may include Forensics (expert witness/litigation support) and/or commissioning/retro-commissioning experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Experience managing projects, selling the business and promoting MEP practices
