Tasks

-Promote BBA expertise in the iron ore processing industry -Examine and approve mass balances, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and technical specifications -Design and simulate mineralogical processes -Lead metallurgical tests and guide clients in developing their projects -Provide metallurgical expertise for all aspects of projects and studies, including EPCM projects -Assess, select and commission new technology to improve the sustainability, efficiency and profitability of client operations -Take on various interdisciplinary technical challenges to ensure factory acceptance tests and the implementation of optimization solutions for processes are performed on time, safely and cost effectively -Review, analyze or develop PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications and evaluations, material land energy balances and process design and operating parameters -Perform due diligence audits and manage preliminary economic, prefeasibility and feasibility studies within multidisciplinary project teams -Lead and participate in market analyses for local and worldwide iron ore projects -Liaise with clients on technical matters and professionally present reports, publications and briefings -Serve as a discipline lead for studies and supervise the work of junior and intermediate engineers -Prepare, review and approve professional qualifications, expressions of interest as well as proposals and service offerings

What You Bring

-Ability to travel frequently across Canada and abroad (> 25 %) -Rigour and ethical -Canadian Professional engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligible to -At least 15 years of experience in mineral processing operations -Strong track record of successfully completing projects in the mining and metals industry -Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Qualified person as per CIM standards -Bachelor’s or graduate degree in mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical engineering or mining
