

Pacesetter in turnkey engineering, construction, maintenance, turnaround and fabrication for industrial sectors.
The role involves reading blueprints and specifications to define the scope of work, including material locations, quantities, and sizes. Responsibilities include identifying necessary tools, assessing safety hazards, and implementing precautions, as well as planning operations to efficiently schedule workloads and minimize costs.
Supervisors will manage multiple crews, overseeing processes, scheduling, cost control, employee relations, and staffing needs. They will coordinate with foremen who directly report to this position.
Candidates must have at least five years of civil or industrial work experience and a minimum of three years in a supervisory role. They should be proficient in managing crew, time, and costs, and possess strong leadership and communication abilities.
Required qualifications include a demonstrated history in industrial construction or maintenance and the ability to read construction drawings and technical manuals. Candidates should also possess expert knowledge of civil crafts, strong organizational and time‑management skills, and effective problem‑solving and manual dexterity.
Preferred qualifications are current or former Zachry employment, NCCER Industrial Journeyman Carpenter certification, formal technical education, and experience with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.
Physical demands involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as work at heights, on ladders, and on scaffolding with appropriate fall protection. Employees must operate in all weather conditions while wearing required PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, high‑visibility vests, gloves, and steel‑toe boots.
