Rental Controller

We’re looking for a Rental Controller to join the team in East Grinstead. You’ll be the go-to person for customers hiring power equipment — preparing quotes, following up leads, and making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. It’s a busy, varied role where no two days are the same.

• Raising cross-hire orders and liaising with accounts to set up new customers.
• Preparing and chasing hire quotes for new and existing clients.
• Passing big opportunities on to the sales team quickly and keeping managers updated.
• Making sure all hire paperwork is accurate — job sheets, delivery notes, off-hire notes, etc.
• Following company processes and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Taking incoming calls, handling enquiries, and solving customer issues.
• Coordinating with the team on plant allocation and job scheduling.

• Quick to learn in-house systems and processes.
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure.
• Comfortable using Word and Excel.
• Previous experience in telesales or customer service.
• Solid organisational and communication skills.
• Confident phone manner and strong customer focus.

Salary: £31,000
