The WTTP Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the water treatment plant on a daily basis. This role involves monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and reporting activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant performance, maintenance activities, and compliance data.
  • Monitor and optimize daily operations of the water treatment plant, including chemical dosing, filtration, and disinfection processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national environmental and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to plant operators and junior staff.
  • Respond to operational issues and emergencies, providing timely technical support and resolution.
  • Conduct routine inspections and performance checks on equipment and systems.

  • Certification in water treatment operations (e.g., IWTO, EPA).
  • Experience with asset management systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in water treatment plant operations or similar industrial environment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and process control instrumentation.
