Logistics Specialist (Chinese Speaker)

Description

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of rental equipment across yards, customer sites, and maintenance locations. The role ensures timely delivery, collection, and availability of machines while optimizing fleet utilization, minimizing transportation costs, and supporting both operations and sales functions.

• Maintain equipment movement tracker and update ERP / system records
• Ensure compliance with local transport regulations and company SOPs
• Coordinate internal transfers between branches for demand balancing
• Support Sales in urgent deliveries and customer commitments
• Prepare and maintain logistic documents (delivery notes, collection reports, gate passes, movement permits)
• Monitor yard stock of available, under-maintenance, and rented equipment
• Work closely with Sales, Service, and Operations teams for scheduling and job planning
• Support management with logistics planning for new projects or peak season
• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and yard teams to ensure on-time movements
• Monitor transportation KPIs such as on-time delivery rate and turnaround time
• Identify gaps and suggest process improvements for logistics efficiency
• Optimize vehicle routing and load planning to reduce idle time and logistics costs
• Communicate equipment availability and movement status clearly across teams
• Track transporter invoices and reconcile movements with billing
• Schedule deliveries, replacements, relocations, and collections efficiently
• Generate weekly/monthly reports on equipment movements, transporter cost, and utilization
• Negotiate transport rates and maintain cost control
• Support asset team in physical audits of equipment
• Plan and coordinate daily transportation of rental equipment (AWP, Earthmoving, Scaffolding, etc.)
• Track GPS and fleet movement for better planning and reporting
• Coordinate with third-party transporters and monitor their performance

Requirements

• ERP / Logistics tracking system experience
• Cost control and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of equipment rental operations (AWP / Earthmoving / Heavy Equipment)
• 3–6 years of experience in logistics within rental or heavy equipment industry
• Planning & scheduling abilities
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Experience handling inter-branch equipment movements across UAE
