- Calculate heating and cooling loads for buildings and select appropriate equipment.
- Prepare cost estimates, project timelines, and technical reports.
- Perform routine maintenance and respond to system failures and emergencies.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Design HVAC systems and layouts using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Inspect HVAC systems for compliance with safety and energy regulations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards (ASHRAE, ISO, etc.), and environmental regulations.
- May involve site visits, occasional travel, and work in varying environmental conditions.
